The lifeblood of MFC are the talented people who lend their abilities to our films. Actors, musicians, dancers, hockey players, writers, actors, singers, magicians, painters, skateboarders, actors, sculptors, basketball players, photographers, comedians, and actors! These are the people who make our films interesting and enjoyable.
We are always on the lookout for people with passion and talent in the arts, music, or athletics. Actors, however, are especially encouraged to join. We will be looking to fill a number of roles in a variety of short films and sketches that will require actors of all skills levels and experience.
The Process
- Application
It is absolutely FREE for talent to apply and join Midland Film Club Talent Pool. Simply use the handy form below to contact us. All your personal information will be kept confidential and only be seen by the producers at Midland Film Club. - Selection
Applications will be reviewed by MFC Producers at the weekly club meeting. Alternatively, applicants might be chosen by the sponsors themselves. In either case, Midland Film Club will discuss how the applicant can best be highlighted. - Contact
Successful applicants will be contacted to set up a shoot date and discuss the details of their film, such as concept, location, timing, wardrobe, props, etc. - Shoot Day
A small MFC film crew will meet you at the agreed upon location for your film. This is where the experience really begins! - Editing
The film goes into editing. Editing time varies depending on the complexity of the film. After Midland Film Club producers have approved the final film you will get a sneak peek 48-hours before the film goes live! - Launch
Once your film goes live you will be free to share it with the world! You can now share your film using your personalized MidlandFilmClub.com URL.
Promo Packs
To help with the promotion of their film, talent can purchase a Promo Pack that will help them spread the word. Promo Packs contain the following items:
- 10 Midland Film Club foil stickers.
- 250 MFC “business cards” with your unique film URL, QR code, & screenshot from film.
- Black Midland Film Club T-Shirt.
Promo Packs are optional and available for $60 +HST.
